Senator Kelly Applauds Groundbreaking of New Arizona Renewable Energy Transmission Project

Today, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, a member of the United States Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), applauded the groundbreaking of the Ten West Link, an energy infrastructure project in Arizona that will deliver low-cost electricity to homes across the state, create good-paying jobs, and support the development of future solar energy projects.

“Today’s announcement is one of the many ways Arizona is leading the way to a renewable energy future. I welcome the Administration’s partnership on this crucial project. I’ll continue working with Republicans and Democrats to deliver renewable energy investments that create more good-paying Arizona jobs, lower energy costs, and meet our state’s growing energy needs,” said Senator Kelly.

Kelly is currently on a bipartisan international congressional delegation to the Abraham Accords countries of Israel, Morocco, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. In the Senate, Kelly has passed and ushered into law key legislation that will expand affordable and renewable energy in Arizona and also boost the United States’ energy independence and security. This includes the Kelly-shaped Inflation Reduction Law which makes key investments that boost clean energy projects, tackle climate change, and support energy efficiency programs.
