Kelly, Sinema Announce Nearly $20 Million for Arizona Community Health Centers

Funding ensures community health centers expand, continue services to tackle COVID-19 in underserved communities

Today, Arizona Senators Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema announced that nearly $20 million in funding from the American Rescue Plan will be distributed across 23 Arizona community health centers serving predominantly underserved communities who have been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. These investments, which Senators Kelly and Sinema secured, will provide community health centers with the funding needed to improve, renovate, and expand services and projects that keep Arizonans healthy and safe from the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“Arizona’s Community Health Centers continue to play a vital role in our response to COVID-19,” said Senator Kelly. “These funds will help health centers in every corner of our state continue to provide affordable, high-quality care to those who need it most as we continue to recover from this pandemic.”

“Today’s funding will strengthen Arizona’s public health response, provide critical relief for community health care workers, and protect the health of Arizonans across our state,” said Senator Sinema.
