Kelly Announces Arizona Veteran as Guest at State of the Union Address
Today, Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly will attend the State of the Union address with former Navy Commander and fellow Desert Storm veteran Martin Sepulveda.
A seventh-generation Arizonan, Sepulveda has dedicated his life to public service, serving in combat overseas and continuing that mission at home as a former Chandler City Councilman, president of the Chandler Historical Society, and founder of Sepulveda Group, Inc., an Arizona-based veteran-owned small business.
“Two weeks ago, Donald Trump tried to have me arrested for something I said that he didn’t like, so I’m going to be in that room because he can’t intimidate me or stop me from doing my job—standing up for Arizona and the Constitution,” said Kelly. “Martin has served our country in uniform, created jobs for Arizonans, and stepped up for his community. He has led a life of service. I’m honored to have him as my guest as we keep standing up for the values and freedoms we served to protect.”
