Kelly also discussed his questioning of Intelligence officials last week and Trump’s immigration tactics that are putting Americans at risk
In case you missed it, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly spoke this weekend on TelevisaUnivision’s Esta Semana about the impact of President Trump’s Iran war on working Americans and how he’s putting our national security at risk to benefit politically.
Kelly underscored that Americans deserve leadership focused on lowering costs and protecting their rights, not policies that make families less safe and everyday life more expensive.

On how the Iran war is not helping American families…
“There are issues that we have with Iran, but we were having negotiations. Those negotiations ended, and the next day, this administration started dropping bombs. That’s not the way we should be conducting our foreign policy, and I don’t see how this benefits the American people. How does this help them afford their daily lives? How does it help them pay their rent or buy groceries or afford health insurance?”
On President Trump using national security for political fundraising…
“It’s a risk to national security, and it’s wrong, and it’s against the law for the President to be using the federal government to raise money for political purposes. There were links on that—if you got that email, there were places you could go to donate, to sign up to get what he called ‘private national security briefings.’ He didn’t say it was top secret or secret information, but he’s clearly using resources he has for being President to raise money to use in elections. And that’s wrong. I’ll tell you what’s worse than that, is that picture that he used was from the dignified transfer of dead service members. Did he get their families approval? I doubt it. It was an outrageous thing to do.”
On the administration’s immigration enforcement abuses inside the United States…
“The situation at the border during the Biden administration was chaos, and it was a mess, and it wasn’t handled well, and President Biden should have, and could have done a lot better job, and it got out of control. That is different than internal immigration enforcement. And as bad as that was, what this President is doing internally in the United States, enforcing immigration law is—there’s a case you could make for that. It is worse. We have dead Americans. People’s constitutional rights have been violated repeatedly. Folks have had agents come into their houses. In Arizona, we’ve had people sprayed with mace from federal vehicles just for standing on the sidewalk and protesting. This is in violation of their Constitutional rights. And communities have been ripped apart. Children have been taken away from their parents. U.S. Citizens have been deported. This has been a disaster.”
